I’m forever grateful to Monica for letting me have Riva, he has been everything I dreamed of.

Riva is an outgoing and fun dog. He is open and friendly towards people and has very nice social skills with other dogs. He is an active dog but has a pretty good off switch and settles down to relax when nothing special is happening. He displays a moderate amount of the guarding behaviour typical to aussies. In general he is a pretty easy dog to live with. I’m training obedience and search and rescue with him. He enjoys playing with toys and loves food, so he is easy to motivate in training. He has been a joy to train in obedience, he learns quickly and is willing to repeat things any time. He is not affraid of gunshots or fireworks.

Physically Riva is athletic and has great coordination. He is not affraid of slippery or unsteady surfaces, we attended a starting rubble training course in fall 2005 and he was absolutely fearless when moving on the rubble. He can also easily jump flatfooted the 1 meter jump obstacle in obedience.

Riva is linebred on Crown Point, which makes up the paternal lines on both sides of his pedigree. The cross of Crown Point Kemo Sabe and Crown Point KK Khyan is the most significant influence on his lineage, it has produced the three well known WTCH brothers: CP Stonewall Jackson, CP Ace of Spades and CP Crimson Tide. All three appear in Riva’s pedigree. The maternal lines go to two different show type lines.
